Welcome to our exploration of Sugaring around the world, today, with a special focus on its booming presence in Bulgaria. Joining us is Silvia from Dimov Studio. Today Silvia will shed light on the unique landscape of sugaring in Bulgaria, highlighting its rise in popularity and the distinctive trends shaping its adoption.
Radeq Lab Sugaring: Hello Silvia! Could you tell us about how you first learned about the sugaring technique and what drew you to it?
Silvia (Dimov Studio): First time i hear the word "Sugaring" was when I was living in Cyprus. I thought of it as a practice limited to Arab countries and not popular in Europe. However, upon returning to Bulgaria and opening our salon, I wanted a procedure that was natural, gentle, and appealed to a wide range of clients covers a wide range of people (in our salon the youngest girl is 7 - legs, the oldest lady is 83 - full face). When I discovered that sugaring was gaining popularity across Europe, I saw it as the perfect fit for our salon. Now, three years later, I firmly believe in sugaring as the superior alternative to traditional waxing.
In Bulgaria we can still find weaknesses in the system and we are working on this. Only waxing is taught in the school system, so we are investing energy to introduce sugaring lessons in schools in Bulgaria.
RL: When did you first come across Radeq Lab Sugaring products, and what made them stand out?
Silvia: After trying various pastes with drawbacks like skin irritation and product wastage, I sought the perfect solution. That's when I learned about Radeq Lab through a respected figure in the beauty industry. Your products impressed me with effectiveness and ease of use, marking the beginning of our partnership.
RL: It's nice to hear that. What feedback have you received from your clients regarding sugaring?
Silvia: Here will be no surprise for you! I work with small children, free of charge, for them the pain is very weak, they feel only a slight stinging on the skin, they have no redness. I often hear from them "I will not let mom pull me with tapes anymore". Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. For clients with skin conditions, dermatologists have praised sugaring procedure with Radeq Lab products for their skin-clearing properties. Overall, the satisfaction levels are high, reaffirming the effectiveness of sugaring.
RL: Can you tell us the reasons why children in your country use sugaring?
Silvia: Children using sugaring treatments in Bulgaria is quite unique globally. Early exposure to environmental factors often leads to hormonal imbalances and premature hair growth. Sugaring offers a gentle solution, alleviating both physical discomfort and emotional distress caused by societal pressures. By introducing sugaring early, we not only address immediate concerns but also educate future clients on proper hair removal techniques.
RL: If we are talking about education, what does the training process for Sugarists in Bulgaria look like?
Silvia: Sugaring training in Bulgaria caters to both cosmetologists refining their technique and beginners undergoing comprehensive education. We cover everything from skin anatomy to paste types and client interaction. We're working to expand sugaring education to address the focus on traditional waxing. Our aim is to equip professionals with the best products.
RL: Finally, could you share with us your personal experience with Radeq Lab Sugaring products?
Silvia: For me, the most important thing is that the product I work with does not waste my time, i.e. I want to cover 90% of the area with one application, this is what I have! Efficiency is key for me. Radeq Lab products allow me to cover extensive areas with minimal application, ensuring a seamless procedure for my clients.
Thank you!
